Room and Board Coming to 14th Street Print E-mail

ImageDCMUD, a DC real estate blog, is reporting that Minneapolis-based home furniture retailers Room and Board has purchased the vacant, four-story building at 14th and T Streets, NW (1840 14th Street, NW) and plan to transform it into a fully rehabbed, 33,000 square foot flagship location.

DCMUD also reports, that according to the broker who facilitated the purchase, Wayne Dickson of Blake Dickson Real Estate, the retail chain has big plans for the re-emergent 14th Street corridor, and will use the entire space for their showroom.

ImageWhen last week's Washington City Paper's "Best of D.C." issue came out, CSNA started scanning to see which of our local businesses were mentioned. We were everywhere. Congrats to all of the winners, and to the people and neighbors who have built and manage these award winning venues.

Extended Hours for Alcohol During Inauguration Week Print E-mail

As has been widely reported, during Inauguration Week from January 17-21, 2009, eligible on-premises alcohol (ABC) licensees and businesses have the option to serve alcohol until 4 am, as well as to remain open 24 hours a day. 

The Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration (ABRA) has released the list of 213 bars, restaurants and clubs that have taken advantage of this option.  Courtesy of Capital Spice, the map below shows the 19 bars, clubs, and restaurants in the CSNA area that will have extended hours.
