CSNA approves Friends of Harrison Recreation Center
Written by U Street Neighborhood Association
ImageAt the August 2006 Monthly Membership meeting, CSNA approved the outline of the new partnership between CSNA and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) to create the Friends of Harrison Recreation Center.

Friends of Harrison Recreation Center (FoHRC) will serve as the community liaison group on matters related to DPR properties and issues and will also allow the neighborhood to collaborate with DPR on programmatic and park projects.

The FoHRC parternship allows CSNA, the neighborhood parents' group, "U Street Tots", and others in the neighborhood to actively support the Harrison Recreation Center in a variety of ways to better serve our community - this support can include everything from coordinating park cleanups to fundraising for programming and equipment at Harrison Recreation Center.
