The Friends of Harrison Recreation Center is an official DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Park Partner, and was formed in 2009 as a project of the U Street Neighborhood Association, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit which has been working for nearly 20 years to improve and maintain the quality of life and advocate for everyone in our Greater U Street neighborhood. The Friends of Harrison Recreation Center works directly DPR to involve the community on how to improve the recreation center through capital improvements and design changes, and to enhance management and programming of the park, with the goal of making Harrison Recreation Center a better designed, cleaner, safer, and better managed park in the neighborhood for all to use and enjoy. The Friends of Harrison Recreation Center relies on the support of volunteers and private donations. Please make a donation via PayPal today and show your support for an important neighborhood asset, the Harrison Recreation Center. (Note: You might see CSNA on the PayPal screen, don't worry, that's OK. The U Street Neighborhood Association was previously known as CSNA.)
