The February 2012 PSA 305 meeting was combined with the PSA 306 meeting. During the meeting, the following current crime issues and follow-up items from previous meetings relating to PSA 305 were discussed:

, that has been created so that those who live and work in the U Street corridor can communicate with members of PSA 305 on a daily basis. A response will be generated within 24 hours or by the next business day.
- Various residents complained of noise nuisances from businesses in the 1900 block of 9th St. Lt. Harrington and ABRA stated that it was difficult to measure noise levels with the instruments they have because they require ambient silence. A representative from ABRA noted the names of the businesses at issue stated that he would follow-up on this.
- Lt. Harrington stated that he would try to have as many foot beats and bike cops as possible working in PSA 305. He noted that this will depend on how soon he is able to have his officers complete MPD’s bicycle training, which is held infrequently.
- Residents asked of crime issues, particularly robberies, originating in Garfield Terrace. Neither Lt. Harrington nor Lt. Jova provided any comments on this issue. Lt. Jova suggested that residents ask Lt. Deborah Pearce of PSA 304. Lt. Harrington stated that he would coordinate mountain bike assets with Lt. Pearce between 304 and 305 by March 2012.
- There was a discussion of the Flea Market at 9th and U St and criminal issues that seem to originate in the Flea Market. The Flea Market, which was originally scheduled to be terminated, has been allowed to continue until JBG construction starts through an agreement between managers of the Flea Market and developer JBG, who now owns the property on which the Flea Market operates.
- An Orange Hat patrol has been scheduled to meet at 13 and W St. NW on February 28, 2012 at 7:30 pm.
- MPD’s on-line database, which provides citizen with crime data for each PSA, is currently down to the recent Boundary Realignment. Accordingly, comparative data and a listing of all the arrests is not available at this time.
